FIRST LEGO League Explore
In FIRST LEGO League Explore, teams of students ages 6-10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO Education SPIKE Essential or WeDo 2.0.
The WV Robotics Alliance coordinates with schools, universities, and other partners to provide equipment, staffing, and support for Expos throughout the state, which are generally held between November and February. The WV Robotics Alliance also coordinates the West Virginia FLLE State Expo, which is held in March at the Fairmont State University Falcon Center.
FIRST LEGO League Explore is presented by FIRST, a US-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
